End to Miscarriage misery was in my medicine cabinet

  • Metro News - 3rd January 2013
  • Interesting and Happy story was announced in Metro Newspaper on 3rd of January, 2013. The Newspaper or the Media got it wrong and we as a leading clinic in the Women’s healthcare profession must make correction to our patients.

"End to Miscarriage misery was in my medicine cabinet
Desperate Dawn Paddock got the family she so badly wanted after using an old wives’ tale – a daily dose of aspirin.
Mrs Paddock suffered five miscarriages in five years but found the answer by taking the over-the-counter painkiller.
The 33-years-old school nurse had no idea the pills were actually fighting a blood clothing condition called antiphospholipid syndrome.
Doctors diagnosed the rare condition after the birth of first child Shay in 2010 and she took the drug again before Isobel was born in June.
‘Blood test could end the agony of unexplained recurrent miscarriage,’ said Mrs Paddock, from Liverpool, who is married to Christian. ‘When I am out with the double pushchair people say, “You are lucky to have one of each”. If only the knew what we’d been through.

The Newspaper mentioned that the lady was taking Aspirin without specifying the dose of it which is crucial in this situation. Ordinary Aspirin over-the-counter for an adult is 300mg this Aspirin on a daily basis can cause clotting problems which will be totally against treating cases like Down Paddock but 75mg of Junior Aspirin (Baby Aspirin) is the ideal tablets in that kind of situations. In our Clinic we have been using Junior Aspirin for long time over 15 years and not only for people who has had several miscarriages but also for patients with potential risk of a narrow blood vessels and patients with a risk of clotting problems, smokers or high cholesterol level hypertensive or women over 30 years of age. Also, women who has been trying for babies for a long period of time but they were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and many other patients problems whom we found using Junior Aspirin as it greatly improves the chance of not only holding their pregnancy but also to help out in the treatment of infertility problem to achieve pregnancy.

  • We have been asked many times from women who had missed abortions or had intrauterine growth retarded baby or women who has had still birth and in all the previous situations there were no obvious cause or reason found, lots of this patients were investigated by us and Doppler blood flow studies on the uterus has revealed that by giving Junior Aspirin they were achieving a happy ending.
Our views is clearly that Junior Aspirin is the only form of Aspirin to be given to women who wish to achieve happy ending with their pregnancy.
